OUR MISSION
IS TO DOCUMENT AND HIGHLIGHT ALL OF PHOENIXVILLE'S AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY, PEOPLE, PLACES, AND THINGS.

OUR VISION
IS TO CONTINUALLY INSTILL PRIDE IN PHOENIXVILLE'S AFRICAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY WHILE EDUCATING THE WHOLE COMMUNITY THROUGH EVENTS, PROGRAMS, AND SERVICES.
Black Light Projects was created to provide a formal way of collecting historical information and documenting the impact Phoenixville’s African American residents have made on our community. Since the organization’s founding in 2017, we have been determined to resurface the experiences and stories, previously told or untold, of our African American history to celebrate the enrichment provided by residents from sports & political heroes to the places that significantly changed our culture, and the organizations that molded and uplifted our youth. We look forward to shining a light on the wonderfully rich heritage of the Phoenixville African American Community.
